Galethspyre, 22 Eyre

There's every color of the rainbow to be found in the Corners of Khorvaire.

The painted jewel of the Dagger River, Galethspyre is truly a feast for the eyes (even if one's nose might disagree). Paints and dyes of every imaginable color are made here and the artisans and alchemists are hard at work at coming up with some that are beyond imagination.

I'd heard that the official patents for all colors created here are overseen by the city's color committee, granting each creator the exclusive rights to all the hues and shades that bedeck the city's walls and clothing.

When I went to visit the committee's offices, I was unable to even approach the door as the modest building was surrounded by a throng of people. The air was heavy with anticipation (as well as the smell of fresh mordants) and those gathered were occasionally wringing their brightly colored hats or mopping sweat from their brows with a bright pocket square.

Before I could ask what was going on that had everyone so worried, a young man emerged from the committee's office and everyone held their breaths as silence filled the street.

The young man, dressed in an impeccable suit that reminded me of a summer sunset, solemnly reached into his bag and produced a bolt of cloth of the same color. Raising it above his head, he smiled broadly and exulted “WE GOT IT!” at the top of his lungs. The gathered crowd erupted into cheers as they hoisted him on their shoulders.

Hours later, when the celebrations finally wound down I was able to at last learn that the young man was the inventor of a new color called “Lharvion Orange” and the committee had met to add it to their official records as well as grant him the patent. This means that he and his new company are poised to make quite the splash (as well as no small amount of Galifars)!

So, watch out Brelish Blue! Lharvion Orange will no doubt be the color to watch among the fashionable hoi polloi of Wroat and Sharn this season.

Here's hoping its popularity spreads to all the Corners of Khorvaire.
