Passage, 1 Eyre

Things are always on the move in the Corners of Khorvaire.

At last I have reached my destination on this sojourn. Passage, Aundair! A city of movement and those on the move! Between the Lightning Rail repair yards and the grand enclave of Journey's Home, the agents of House Orien dominate the roads and rails as they move the wares and passengers of Khorvaire from corner to corner!

My days in Passage have been spent with my duties recertifying the House Sivis Message Station. While I find the process intensely interesting, I shan't bore you with the details, dear reader. Sufficed to say, while my days were awash with paperwork my evenings were my own. With the magelights of the streets and the gentle humming of the lines upon lines of conductor stones along the railway, even at night Passage is a city abuzz with energy.

In the crowds of comers and goers, it was with curiosity that I discovered the interesting person of today's article: Someone standing still.

Havleigh Crudaker is the founding member of the Lightning Rod Society, a social club of mostly young men of leisure who are admittedly obsessed with the coaches and elementals of the Lightning Rail. The "Rodders" (as they call themselves) carry specially produced notebooks that carry the name and description of every conveyance in House Orien's arsenal. As a member lays eyes upon one (a "strike" as they call it), they consult their notebooks and place a checkmark by it.

For over an hour young Mister Crudaker showed me pages from his notebook, pointing out the various vehicles in the rail yard. I confess, they all looked rather the same to my eyes but he assured me they were each unique in their own way. When I asked him what his ideal "strike" would be, he hesitated not a second before saying "The Silver Unicorn", the personal conveyance of Baron Kwanti d'Orien himself. Apparently, the good Baron travels at a moment's notice at all hours of the day or night, making his coach the rarest "strike" of all.

Good luck, Rodders! Never stop keeping your eyes out for the rare and exciting sights in the Corners of Khorvaire.
